Maryland’s Legislature Voted for Compassion
Maryland became the 21st state in the United States to legalized the use of medical cannabis in 2013. Medical cannabis became available to qualifying patients in December of 2017. The 2013 legislation established the Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission (MMCC) which is responsible for developing policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure that medical cannabis is available to qualifying patients in a safe and effective manner. Livasis salutes Maryland’s compassionate and progressive stance in promoting and regulating the use of medical cannabis providing Marylanders’ a choice of treatment options for qualifying medical conditions.
